The Garden Centre grows a comprehensive range of top quality plants and vegetables, all for sale to the general public at very competitive prices. Our aim is to offer a superb range of quality plants, shrubs and specimen trees and provide a great service to all our customers. We are visited regularly by Landscape Gardeners who choose to buy our plants because of their quality and our competitive prices.

Fruit and vegetables are available seasonally, of which many are grown naturally on our own site. Our clients assist in every aspect of production from seed to sale. We stock a range of plants & shrubs all year round plus garden sundries including pots, compost and our very own well rotted manure.

The New Garden CentreWe always endeavour to have a large selection of shrubs, herbaceous, pot plants, hanging baskets and planters. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter sales of geraniums, fuchsias, hanging baskets, patio and bedding plants ensure that you will have the seasons ‘must have’ colours.

We feel our strength lies in core gardening with the majority of our customers visiting us as they know we have knowledgeable and friendly staff who are always on hand to provide help and advice. If you cannot find what you need – just ask. If we do not currently stock the product you want, we will endeavour to obtain it on your behalf.

Ask about our Garden Services – we have a team on hand to carry out all your garden chores either on a one off or regular basis - lawn mowing, garden clearance, planting etc. We would be happy to quote. Just call us on 01903 245078.

Therapeutic Benefits

As well as acquiring knowledge on all areas of horticulture, our horticulture clients experience a range of physical, psychological and social benefits. Much research has been carried out into the benefits of horticulture, proving that horticultural activities can positively impact on an individual's mind, body and spirit.

Physical Health Benefits

Horticulture involves physical activity, strengthening clients' muscles and bones and improving blood flow, and therefore allowing clients to maintain fitness. It also improves balance and coordination and promotes healthy living, teaching clients how to grow their own fruit and vegetables.

Psychological Benefits

The unit provides a motivating and challenging environment that is rewarding, increasing clients' confidence and allowing them to feel a sense of achievement and self-worth. The tranquil setting is mentally stimulating and allows for reminiscence, as well as stress release. Above all clients are able to participate in an enjoyable activity.

Social Benefits

Many of the activities that take place on horticulture require team work, inviting social interaction. Interactions with the public and community projects such as gardening increase social inclusion and ensure our clients play a valuable role in the community.
